BenefitSetu is a private guidance assistant and is not an official government website. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the control you have over your information.
Information we collect
- Account details: name, mobile number, email and password (stored hashed).
- Profile details you choose to add: state, district, category, education, occupation and preferred language.
- Documents you upload for applications, along with any details extracted from them.
- Usage data such as chats, searches, saved items, reminders and payment records.
How we use your information
- To match you with relevant government jobs, schemes, scholarships and policies.
- To pre-fill application forms from your stored documents.
- To send reminders and alerts on WhatsApp, Telegram or push notifications when you opt in.
- To process subscription payments and issue invoices and receipts.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and enforce plan limits.
AI processing
- Your questions and relevant profile context are sent to our AI providers to generate answers.
- Answers are grounded only in our verified jobs, schemes and policy databases and official source links.
- We do not sell your data or use it to train third-party public models.
Document storage and retention
- Documents are stored privately and are visible only to you and to your account.
- You can delete any document at any time from the Documents screen.
- We keep billing records for as long as required by applicable tax law.
Sharing
- We share data only with service providers who help us run the platform, such as hosting, payment and messaging providers.
- We may disclose information if required by law.
- We never make payments or submit applications to any department on your behalf without your action.
Your rights
- Access, correct or delete your profile and documents at any time.
- Withdraw consent for WhatsApp, Telegram or push notifications from Settings.
- Request full account deletion by contacting support.
Security
- Access to your data is protected by authentication and row-level database security.
- Payments are processed by our payment gateway; we never store your card or UPI credentials.
